Samanta: Má ou Santa

Short Film

After her tragic death, a young woman finds herself in purgatory, judged for her alleged crimes by an all-male jury. Confined in this strange and oppressive space, she faces a system that is absurdly rigid yet disturbingly familiar.

The film balances a dark and mysterious tone with moments of comedy and the ridiculous, embracing the full potential of satire. Through this lens, it exposes the stark double standards of moral judgment, revealing how society harshly condemns a woman for actions that are often ignored, or even celebrated, when committed by a man. In doing so, it becomes a reflection on gender, power, and the arbitrary nature of societal norms.
